Seems to be our Semestral Break

I was all set when my classmate told me that the Rover Vigil is postponed. It will be resumed on November 7. Argh!

It ruined my schedule. It’s like this…

Every semestral break, we’re going to Bicol for undas and this year’s undas is very important because it is the first undas for my grandma [RIP]. I did not join my family’s trip to Bicol because I thought THIS vigil will be pushed through. So when I knew about the rescheduling of the vigil due to weather conditions, I got pissed off. But wait, something enlightened me. Good thing my cousins haven’t gone to Bicol yet so I decided to go with them on their trip. Yeehaw!! I was so lucky.

When we got to Bicol, I was so happy to see them :)) and I started my day with Facebook [xD] I enjoyed using it.

Undas was so rainy. It was embarrassing but it ended well because it did not rain that much anymore. ‘Til then, bye! xD

One More Chant

Yehey! Our BIG efforts paid off.

For the last few days, we've been practicing [the hardest! XD] for jazz chant. There were a lot of changes done just to make it last for 8 minutes. It's my first time to join a contest like this. It's very limited. I mean, it's movements are limited, also the way of chanting it. At last, the day has come. For such a long time, I got those nerves again. My heart beats 20X faster. It's a good thing we were Contestant #3. We can perform early so that we will feel the relief.

As our number was mentioned, we went to the stairs and we don't know how to start. We lost that part, we were not synchronized for the entrance but as it continues, we can feel the satisfaction that we're doing well through our audience's response. We can see their smiles. "Thank you Contestant #3" said the announcer and the audience clapped thunderously. We felt really happy because our efforts paid off and our audience was satisfied. That performance was for Him and I wish we made Him satisfied.

After changing our costumes, we got nice feedbacks from the audience. It relieved us from the question "Whad did the audience think of our performance?" As the results were announced, we're so quiet because we're so nervous. Many of us won. Jestine(1st place-Spelling Bee), Emman(2nd place-Oral Reading), Ate Kathleen(3rd place-Declamation), and Christian(4th place-Oration). As the results for the jazz chant competition is announced, oyr hearts beat faster. "The best among the rest-Cavite National Science High School!" the announcer said. We shouted to the top of our lungs. We were very happy and very grateful because Ma'am Mae did not give up on us and I thank God for He guided us. Yepyep!! Wohoo!!

To Infinity and Beyond!

A week of non-stop practice.

BAD NEWS! Ma'am Mae and half of the jazz chanters will join the Regional Science Camp. Meaning there will only be 5 of us to practice. It's hard to practice a group performance when you're not complete. According to the rules for jazz chant, we are given 8 minutes to deliver the piece. The problem is that the piece is TOO SHORT! We need to add more adlibs like interactions and more steps.

We need to play with the piece. As we watched some samples of jazz chant in Youtube, we saw that they gave a long time for entrance and they put many interactions. Ate Alpha is the one looking for samples and we repeatedly wathed those. It's really hard to deliver a short piece for AT LEAST 8 minutes.

GOOD NEWS! Next Monday, they'll return. We can practice now and do our THING on it. YEMEN!!!!

BYE FOR NOW!!

PROJECT! PROJECT! PROJECT!

COMIC STRIP! We are to make a comic strip about Solutions(for Chemistry) and another one about Functions(for Math). I have to admit, I'm not good in drawing and not good in making stories. How can I make two comic strips?! Argh! It's such a big big problem. Here's the worst part. We are to pass the comic strip for Chemistry two days after she told us that we have to make that. As if her subject is the only subject we are to study. Argh! Hate it. But at least, I passed a day after the deadline. Even though it's not that great, I'm not the last one.

Another one.

SUDOKU! For Math, we are to make a Sudoku. It's not that hard.

REACTION PAPER! We are assigned to do a reaction paper about Epicureanism and Stoicism. It's a great topic that's why I enjoyed doing it.

I just hope we'll never experience this again.. BYE!

An Early Semestral Break

It seems that we had our early Sem-Break. It's all because of Ondoy. Even though our, province is not affected that much, we did not have classes. Happy Birthday Iahm! Ahaha. Iahm invited us to go to his house. I know I still have many things to do but I still joined them. I'm happy I made that decision. Many of his classmates came. It was fun. FOODTRIP! YEMEN! haha

The next day, we had jazz chant practice. We had it for a day! It was fun even though we haven't finished it yet..

I love this song. I hope you'll love it too. :D

Never Say Never
The Fray

There are some things we don't talk about
Rather do without
And just hold the smile
Falling in and out of love
Ashamed and proud of together all the while
